Fred Rogers worked in Children's Television for 50 years from 1951 to 2001, always wearing a smile and spreading the love of God to children everywhere. He taught some pretty important life lessons about spreading the love of God to all people all of the time and he did it without all of the religious language that can sometimes hide the meaning of the message from the old and the young alike. Jesus gave us a practical example of what it means to be a neighbor through the telling of the parable of the Good Samaritan. But through all of the sermons on love and the television episodes of Mr Rogers Neighborhood, things are not getting better between neighbors anywhere in the world. Why is that?
