The water's fine

​Matthew 3:16-17
After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him.  And a voice from heaven said, "This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy."

The church year has us quickly turning from Jesus' birth to his baptism as an adult. We'll talk about Jesus' baptism by John and then have an opportunity to remember our own baptism.  The new year is also a wonderful time to renew our commitment to God.  John Wesley penned a covenant prayer that gives voice to yielding our life to God and God's will.  Join us this Sunday, either in person or online, for this important day of remembrance and recommitment.
