“The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer. If we get figs next year, fine. If not, then you can cut it down.’”

This morning’s theme is “Lots of things can be medicine.” We’ll talk about the uncomfortable things of life that can be helpful in the long run. Medicine doesn’t often taste good, but the trade off is worth it. Laura Story wrote a song called “Blessings” in 2011. Hear some of the words that call us to consider the blessings that can come from the challenges of our lives.
'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

Lots of things can be medicine – raindrops, tears, sleepless nights – medicine that moves us closer to healing and wholeness and a deeper relationship with God. I look forward to worshiping with you in person or online this Sunday morning!
