Paul wrote the letter to the Philippians while in jail and facing an uncertain future. He is no stranger to struggle. But yet, Paul invites us to “rejoice in the Lord!” He was very much aware of the source of his joy and strength. Likewise, Paul invites us to rejoice with gratitude and to identify things to celebrate even during trying times. He calls us to consider the things that are true, honorable, just, pure, pleasing, commendable, excellent and worthy of praise. Don’t postpone your joy!
