Witnesses

​Luke 4:36-48
​“Why are you frightened?” he asked. “Why are your hearts filled with doubt? 39 Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it’s really me. Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost, because ghosts don’t have bodies, as you see that I do.” 40 As he spoke, he showed them his hands and his feet.

​The season of Easter continues.  Luke 4:36-48 is our text for Sunday.  Jesus appears to his disciples post-resurrection.  They are overjoyed, but still frightened.  Jesus tells them to examine his hands and feet to be sure it is really him.  Jesus then tells the disciples that they are his witnesses to the world.  What do our hands and feet tell about us?  And how are we to be witnesses, Jesus' hands and feet in the world?
