This Is The Day

Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting, “Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Praise God in highest heaven!”

We begin Holy Week with Jesus and the crowds as they line the streets to watch him ride into Jerusalem on what we know as Palm Sunday. There are shouts of "Hosanna! Save us! Save us now!" There is much excitement! The city is buzzing. The people are hopeful. But how quickly the scene changes. And before the week is over that same crowd of people will be shouting "Crucify him! Crucify him!" This is the day the Lord has made. The fully human and the fully divine Jesus will experience fully his humanity and his divinity before the week is through, before his work is through. Join us for worship this Sunday as we shout "Hosanna!" and contemplate what is to come.
