1 Samuel 16:7 -- But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Do you know what it is like to be chosen? Well, you do, because you were. Our texts this week are about being chosen by God. Most of us don't think we were chosen, certainly not to be king like David. But surely, we choose the jobs we do and the hobbies we enjoy and the service we perform for others.
