Baptism of the Lord

​Mark 1:10-11 (NLT)
As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on him like a dove.  And a voice from heaven said, "You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy."

​This Sunday, Jan. 14, will have us talking about Jesus' baptism and reflecting upon our own baptism.  Jesus didn't NEED to be baptized, but he chose to get into the water with us human beings as a sign of solidarity with us, a sign of his compassion for us.  Join us for worship this week as we will have an opportunity to remember our individual baptism and to be thankful.
