Matthew 6:19-21
"Don't store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be."

On the discipleship journey, we discover that Jesus may have been right, that there is often a tension between the world and his vision for living, a way in which all may have abundant life. In the United Methodist tradition, the third practice to which we commit ourselves is GIFTS. Sharing our GIFTS in community is as much a heart issue as a wallet issue. This week in worship, we will explore Jesus’ teachings about our treasures and how our GIFTS can CONNECT us more deeply to God and others as we seek to be Uniquely United Methodist.
